The Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance has released version 1 of their Intellectual Property Guidelines for the Victorian Public Sector.
This is Version 1 of the IP Guidelines, published in March 2015, and replaces the Working Draft of the Guidelines which was published in November 2013.The Guidelines provide information on the Victorian Public Sector’s management of intellectual property, and are designed to assist with implementation of their IP Policy. The Guidelines cover important topics such as Creative Commons licensing, procurement and commercialisation.
Minter Ellison has created a very useful blog post that includes a table summarising some of the key aspects of the guidelines and highlighting some of the substantive amendments that have been made since the working draft.
